Support across Lake Macquarie

Around a lake this size, the provider worth choosing is the one that keeps your support worker on your side of the water.

The City of Lake Macquarie runs from the edge of Newcastle in the north, through Cardiff, Glendale and Edgeworth, around both shores of the lake and down to Morisset and Swansea. Council is based at Speers Point. Lake Mac Libraries has eleven branches, from Cameron Park and Cardiff to Morisset and Swansea. Cardiff station has lifts to the platforms. The public emergency department at Belmont Hospital is open around the clock, while John Hunter Hospital is closer for the northern suburbs.

As a registered NDIS provider, Glenrock Support works right around the lake, from the suburbs near our Wallsend base to Morisset and Swansea. For NDIS Lake Macquarie support, you get two or three regular support workers who live close enough to turn up on time.

NDIS Lake Macquarie: our suburb pages

Four lake suburbs have their own page, with local services, drive times and common questions:

The rest of the lake north of that line is ours too, from Cardiff and Glendale to Cooranbong and Dora Creek. Living in Newcastle? See our NDIS Newcastle page.

What NDIS support can I get around the lake?

Mostly Core supports: personal care and daily living at home, with cleaning and household tasks as well when they are in your plan. To join a regular group or learn a skill, see increased social and community participation. We don't offer therapy, SIL, plan management, support coordination or overnight shifts.

Prices and getting started

Our prices follow the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 and never go above the price limits. You get a written quote and a service agreement before anything starts. Begin on our getting started page, and we reply within two business days.

Which Lake Macquarie suburbs do you cover?

We cover every Lake Macquarie suburb from Morisset and Swansea north to the Newcastle border. That includes the Morisset peninsula, Cooranbong, Dora Creek, Wangi Wangi, Rathmines, Toronto, Belmont and Redhead. If you live south of that line, at places like Caves Beach, Gwandalan or Mannering Park, please ring and ask.

Do you really go as far as Morisset and Swansea?

Yes. Both are about half an hour from our Wallsend base, so we plan those rosters with care. We match people there with workers who live on that side of the lake where we can, and group visits so nobody spends the shift in traffic.

Can I get NDIS support in Lake Macquarie on a weekend?

Yes, we work seven days, 6am to 10pm. Saturdays and Sundays fill first, so a weekend start may mean a short wait. Many people begin on weekdays and add a weekend shift once a spot opens.

Is there a pool in Lake Macquarie with a hoist?

Yes, at Toronto. Its swim centre has a hoist and an adult change table in an accredited Changing Place, which opens with an MLAK key, plus a platform lift into two of its pools. Council says the other swim centres have seat-style lifts. Your support worker can stay with you from the car park to the water.

I live near Cardiff station. Can we take the train to appointments?

Yes. Cardiff station has lifts to the platforms. Your support worker can ride with you and help with the gap, the platform and the walk at the other end.

How is travel charged when you come out to my part of the lake?

Travel is claimed the way the NDIS Pricing Schedule allows, and we put it in your quote up front. You never find a travel charge on your statement that you didn't agree to first.
